Track Overview Nordharz lap

Nordharz lap

Mountainbike tour starting in Bad Harzburg with a steep ascent through the Gosetal and a long descent with a view to the Harz foreland: The first few kilometers of the route lead on varied paths above the city of Bad Harzburg along the edge of the Harz to Goslar. Lots of deciduous and mixed forest characterize the image of the mountain slopes and attractive views of the towns on the edge of the Harz accompany the way. In Goslar a ascent begins in the dark green forested Gosetal valley towards the Oberharz summit of the 'Schalke' mountain. A path along the world cultural heritage 'Oberharzer Wasserregal' now leads along the mountain to the small town of Festenburg. Via the mountain town of Schulenberg you continue with views to the Okertalsperre to the last ascent to the Huneberg. From here a long descent with a view to the Harz foreland starts back to Bad Harzburg.
