Track Overview Goslar uphill fun

Goslar uphill fun

Medium-difficulty mountainbike route from Goslar into the Oberharz, through the Innerstetal and along dams back to the city of Goslar: The route starts with a long ascent above the deep Oker valley up into the Oberharz. The first prominent point and also the highest point of the tour is the viewing tower on the Schalke. From here, in good weather conditions, you can see the summit of the Brocken, the plateaus of the Oberharz and parts of the water reservoir Okertalsperre. The route continues downhill along several ponds into the Innerstetal valley, follows the the valley and later the Innerste river. Behind the 'mountain town 'Bergstadt Lautenthal', the route leaves the valley again to take an ascent through deciduous and mixed forest. Via the Innerste dam, Wolfshagen and the Grane dam, it goes back to Goslar on the edge of the Harz mountains.
