One Climb Only Tour
Easy mountainbike route along the Innerste dam, to the Altar cliffs on the edge of the Harz and through valleys in the nice Oberharz: The route starts through the Innerste valley along the water reservoir Innerstetalsperre and crosses its dam. The route continues through deciduous and mixed forest to the small town Wolfshagen am Harz and leads up to the altar cliffs from there. The panorama on the cliff extends far into the Harz foreland. About three kilometers further on, the route reaches its highest point at a hut above Hahnenklee and leads almost only downhill from here. The tour leads along lakes of the UNESCO World Heritage 'Oberharzer Wasserregal' and a natural waterfall to the small town Wildemann and follows the course of the Innerste River from here through the Innerste Valley back to Lautenthal.
