Track Overview Little Oberharz route

Little Oberharz route

Mountainbike route starting in Schulenberg with many ponds of the Oberharzer Wasserregal and lookout tower: The tour begins with a proper ascent to Schulenberg's local mountain, the Schalke. A lookout tower with a 360° panorama and a small hut await you here. Then it goes into the first long descent with several ponds of the world cultural heritage 'Oberharzer Wasserregal' in the Spiegeltal-valley near Wildemann. The route follows the small valley up to the 'Zellerfelder Höhe'. The second small descent continues through dark green coniferous forests into the 'Zellerfelder Tal' along an old mine. After a last long ascent through the Innerstetal-valley, it goes over mountain meadows and forests along many ponds and lakes. The third and last descent leads down to the water reservoir Okertalsperre, from where it is not far back to Schulenberg.
