Mountainbiking in Clausthal-Zellerfeld

Clausthal-Zellerfeld is the largest of the seven mining towns in the Oberharz and is located on a plateau in the Oberharz. The university town is a highly recommended place to start mountainbike tours in the Harz mountains. There is a large number of varied paths, trail descents in all directions and the possibility of flatter tours along the ditches and ponds of the 'Oberharzer Wasserregal', a world cultural heritage. The surrounding landscape is characterized by hilly mountain meadows and wooded mountains of the Oberharz and Hochharz.
